Native American Image Distortion

Edward Curtis

A lot of people went through a lot of trouble to distort and whitewash the true history of Indigenous Americans and their descendants.

The video below is a brief introduction to historical photographer, Edward Curtis, who, under the guise of documenting the vanishing history of the North American Indian, manipulated the images of Indigenous and Native Americans to fit the deceptive, and whitewashed historical narratives fabricated by the government, and racist white male power brokers.

Curtis will be the subject of a more detailed Afro Perspectives historical investigation in the future.
